I have heard of eggs coming out of the supermarket refrigerated case that were free range and they hatched in someone's incubator. We had a moderator on the EZ BYC that kept his eggs in the refrigerator while waiting to incubate, in the crisper drawer.
In this case someone may have placed free range eggs in the wrong carton. It is entirely possible to have a hatch and in this case they did. Who knows how there birds are kept. In the US a caged bird would probably never be exposed to a rooster but the way brokers buy and sell things these days I would imagine that eggs are eggs are eggs and not all actually are what they say on the cartons.
Buy the way Reptileluuva Congrats. Your got a real bonus with your eggs.
