I used to live in Davenport. Does Davenport allow chickens? I thought they didn't. However a house on NW BLVD does have them. I think they are grandfathered in.
Does anyone know when the Quad City area 4-H and FFA fairs are? I am thinking of maybe buying some chickens from 4-H or FFA members that sale theirs at the fairs. I know they will have some of the breeds I want and since they are showing them they will be better cared for and in better shape then some of the ones I saw at the swap yesterday. I still want some Polish and silkies and did not see any at the swap that I wanted to bring home. I saw some nice looking white silkies at the swap but I want buff, black, or blue ones. The Polish I saw in the colors I liked were pretty beat up and missing a lot of their feathers. I used to sale my rabbits at fair when I was in 4-H and FFA.
Take Care Everybody in the QCA area who is affected by the floods. Columbus Junction is bracing down as they expect to break the 1993 record but we will be ok. We don't live in the town but instead out in the county and just have a Columbus Junction mailing address and our place is up on a hill so we will be just fine. I do feel for everyone who is going to have to deal with the water though. It's just awful all the flooding all over the Midwest.
I am from Plymouth, IL and am looking for info on the Burlington swap. Does anyone know the swap date for June?
I am also looking for cages for pigeons and doves.
