met one of these lovelies in the states when visiting. friendly, lovely eggs - haven't seen any available in Australia.

There's Araucanas there. There, you guys have tailed blue egg layers w/beards and crests. They're often the reason why US people confuse Araucanas with "Easter Egger" chickens, misunderstanding the differing standards among countries.

I may even be thinking EE's - brown with a bit of colour, really blue eggs? If so, any idea of their availability here?
