Unfortunately, I also had a late-i don't know where they came from-who are you- where was the nest-why didn't i see you-when did you hatch, late hatch.

Thanks everyone for the friendly comments! I love it when they are little. I wish they would stay this cuddly and cute!

I think I'm going to end up wintering these babies over too. I have 8 left from my last clutch (hatched in early August) that I just can't seem to find good homes for. Around here, people tend to look for the scovies in the spring. At least I have the room for them though. I don't know what I would do if I didn't!
I took the last batch away from mom, but I think for now I'll let her raise these little guys. She'll do a better job of keeping them warm and fed in the cold weather. I put them in my hutch. She already made a big warm nest and showed them where the food and water is
