Anybody else having an odd breeding season with their geese?

My first pair of geese were an incorrectly sexed pair. The female was a gander. Then I got five straight run goslings, all of whom turned out to be ganders.

I should have known that first spring when NO ONE laid any eggs. No one.

Once in a great while you'll have a goose wait for a few years before laying. On another forum, a gander who was a housepet for 8 years up and laid an egg on his human's bed one day. I mean hers

I have a bantam chicken who is definitely a female who has never laid a single egg.

my guess is you got two ganders.

I think we're gonna try to vent sex her tomorrow. =/ She looks and acts like a goose though, and the gander definitely looks and acts like a gander. And I've never once seen her try to mate the gander!

My geese have been really odd this season. I have a pair of Sebbies and I just started getting eggs 2 weeks ago. I got 6 eggs from my goose and then she went broody on some duck eggs. I gave her 2 of her eggs back to hatch, which she sat on for 3 days, and now she's decided not to sit after all.

I don't know what the deal is!
