Anybody else started on their gardens this year.

Planted broccoli, cabbage, radishes, collards, kale, turnips, mixed greens, Brussels sprouts, lettuce and 2rows of sugar snaps this weekend!

I'm still waiting on the potatos in the pail. It's grown about 2ft up from the top of the pail, but from what I'm reading I shouldn't dump it out until it flowers. Well, it doesn't look like there's going to be any flowers. Everything in my garden is late because of a wet spring and it doesn't look like I will get anything. I planted what I thought were cucumbers and they turned out to be buttercup squash. The plants take up about 1/3 of my garden and there's 3 or 4 squash on the plants. Don't ever accept seeds from a neighbor not knowing what they are. Tomatoes have grown welll and are all green but it's september and cold weather is starting to come and there's none of them turning. Oh well next year.

Leave your green tomatoes until you get a freeze warning then pick them all. They will ripen slowly indoors. We didn't get much of a potato crop this year either.

Planted spinach, mustard, kale, lettuce, kohlrabi, turnips, bok choy. Planted broccoli and cauliflower plants about 2 weeks ago and they are growing like weeds. :) I'm really looking forward to some fresh greens again
