anybody get chicks and they all live?? Getting mine today and nervous

I am getting 6 or 7 chicks today. I am so nervous reading all these stories about the chicks dying left and right, I am really freaking out!! Does anybody get a small batch and ever have them all live & thrive???

Please tell me what to expect!!!

I got 6 babies from mypetchicken and they are all alive and healthy 7 1/2 weeks later!! I do have a runt, but she does great.

We got our 6 chicks at TSC 6 weeks ago. We also had heard stories about chicks dying and being very difficult to raise. I am happy to report that all of ours are still living, and thriving! We've just kept them warm under the heat lamp, provided fresh clean water and food, and kept their brooder clean. Good luck, hope you become as chicken-addicted as we have!!!

We got 5 because we wanted 3. All 5 are alive and full of energy at 3 1/2 weeks. Good luck!

I got a dozen from MPC, half are now 3 wks and half are 5 wks old. One tiny one was listless and pasty for a while, but we pulled her through that and now she's runty but feisty. The rest have been perfectly healthy from day one. Now I'm dying to determine for sure if there are any roos in the group, though I'm pretty sure the older group are all gals. We'll see...

I got 26 from McMurray on Sunday and 100% are alive.

I got 20 from healthy chicks & more and they are all still alive & doing very well. They are 4 1/2 weeks old now. Even the runt lived.

Make sure you notify the post office! They will arrive early in the morning and if they cannot call or locate you, the chicks will sit at the post office. HURRY!

THEY WILL NOT BE DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR.

I have never had that kind of luck with shipped chicks, I always loose a few here and there. When hatched at home here I never loose any. 3 days in shipping is pretty hard on them. I am not trying to be a debbie downer just being honest.Best of luck to you and your new fuzzy butts
