Good luck SoccerMom!!! You're a day ahead of me!!! How many eggs do you have in again???

I have 31 in. All I know is they came from a mix of hens and an amercauna roo. Got them from a local farmer for $5 a dozen. I guess that was a good first try anyway. But I got a second LG and have 41 eggs in from 3 BYCers.

I have 12 eggs in now. Mine are from my girls, I have leghorns, SLW, EE, Austrolorp, Plymouth Rocks, with a BLRW roo. Hopefully will have some cute chicks!

Today is day 18 for you. Up the humidity to around 65% and stop turning the eggs tonight.

Thanks! I put mine in on the 28th afternoon and was wondering the same thing.... I have 23 in (rir, buff orp., br and 1 welsummer)...I am SO excited and nervous!

Day 15 (Mar16) - we candled and found out we infact have 11 chickies, not 6! Wee!

I'm so glad I didn't get rid of the questionable ones on day 8! That would have been a big mistake.

1 more day until they go into the egg carton!!!

Oops, i have a question...
I understand that the humidity will start to rise as the hatch begins...do i need to add extra water in preparation for this??? once the hatch begins, i'm not to open the bator...but how high is too high for the humidity to go? thanks!

Being my first hatch I was very nervous about throwing out eggs... we had 2 that were clear so we finally pulled them out 2 nights ago... This waiting is killing me and my family thinks I have gone nuts!

I can't get my temperature stable since I put in the water

I am going to cry (and throw this incubator away and get a *real* one) if these chicks don't make it. They have all been developing great since I weeded out the unfertilized ones at day 7. I wish I knew more about candling to see if they are too slow or too fast or even still moving. Sigh. Anyone else having trouble with a styrofoam incubator when you add more water?
