Just stay calm when handing those eggs..don't want to drop one .
yea that dark spot should be an eye depending on how long they have been in there.....mine should some out around the 28th, my hen is broody right now which will be cool when it all happens because i have never had one go broody before
We're due on the 22nd too! It's our first hatch! We candled last night, but just with a flashlight. I couldn't see much, but I think that's probably for the better! Less to be stressed out about!
Tonight I did another 5 or 6 eggs as quick as I could, and some might have been the same ones from last night because I didn't mark them, but tonight I saw a bunch with swimming little chicks!! I marked them tonight though. One looked pretty clear though, kinda looked like a ring in it. I left it in though, just in case.
did candle a few days ago veins did also see a black spot in one others looked like a chick in their never have done this before so not real sure what it saw. good luck with your hatch
