anybody have a hatching room?

Pips & Peeps

...so you are required to have 3 separte space??

hatching...
birth to 2 - 3 weeks
older than 3 weeks
???

Why are you running around?

We hand turn our eggs - no auto turner. We turn first thing in the a.m, mid afternoon, and right at bed time. Sleeping in and going to bed early are out of the question. Sounds like y'all are siding w/ hubby? But they won't be hatched yet, not until the last few days... I'm grasping at straws here.

Right now we're using a spare bedroom for incubating/hatching and brooding. We've been discussing adding either and additional building onto our property for incubating/hatching/brooding or sectioning off a part of the barn and doing it there.

We already have a second house on our property for my raising/breeding parrots. LOL

We also use an air washer to keep the air breathable and healthy in that room. We have parrots and need them for the parrots so getting one for the chickens was a no brainer.

Those with separate hatcheries such as "pips and peeps" or any one else, could you post pics. I was going to use a spare bedroom but thinking of using an old tack room after I remodel it to be vent free and heated. I like to get some ideas for a set up.

Haha I thought I was the only crazy one!

I turned my spare room into a hatcher over the summer.

I got an incubator going with 28 eggs, and three brooder boxes filled with chicks! I also got two more brooder pens outside that are full too! I have so many chicks running around it's crazy.

Can't wait until the new ones hatch!

Laundry room, but I'm trying to talk hubby into letting me bring them into the bedroom this time. We have to run downstairs before the crack of dawn and then, sometimes, if we forget and go to bed early, the alarm goes off at 10:00 and we have to run downstairs again! It'd be easier in the bedroom!

NOOOO! dont put them in your bedroom! trust me i have my bator in my bedroom and all the eggs seemed to have delayed hatching and only hatch at night. but the worste part is when they hatch they DONT shut up!
they chirp and peep all night long!

I have a 7' by 9' room in the corner of my garage I use for my incubator room. It is well insulated and has heat and airconditioning as well. Works very well. I have been using it for a few years now.
