if anybody in the Tampa area is looking to rehome a cat or kitten let me know we are looking for a cat

I hope you find one! Have you tried Craigslist? There’s usually always a ton of cats on there. Although you have to be careful because sometimes people will charge crazy fees for cats that haven’t even been vetted. But there are reasonable ones on there that have been. Or you could try your local shelter. They’re usually not too expensive and they’ve already had all their shots, fixed if old enough, etc. saving you the cost.

I'm in the Tampa area too! Like Kdog said, check out craigslist (but watch for scams) and animal rescues. If you are looking to get a certain breed do some research on breeders. Be sure that they know what they are doing and get take good care of their cats. There are plenty of cats and kittens in rescues that are in need a of a good home though so check there first.
