I'm new to this chicken world. My flock of 19 is 13 weeks old and they are my first. I was wondering if there chicken shows or gathering of some type in Indiana, when they might be, and if there is a place I can check for schedules. I"m just looking for a place to make some chicken contacts.

Hi everyone in Indiana! I am up here in Valparaiso, fairly new to BYC and soooo jealous

all of you have chickens! We are hoping to have our little coop finished by late spring so I can get my chickens. I am hoping to get 3 pullets (sorry guys no roos), one buff orpington, one silkie, and one black OE bantam.

I would get more but they may have to share space with my two pet pigeons.
If anyone in Indiana has these three breeds available please pm me. I will drive anywhere in Indiana to p.u.

Welcome bluebird...We have BO's that we will be incubating soon but if you want chickens now the best chickens we ever got were from Andy, I will have to look thru the thread to remember his name here. He is great to work with, have awesome chickens and has been a wealth of knowledge to us!!

Hello Everyone! My mother is in a search for two bantan roosters. She is looking for a blue Ameraucana rooster and Blue cochin rooster. She would even take a splash of either one. Please sent me the information and I will pass it to her. She is trying to find them near Greencastle, IN

Hi Bluebird, I will probably have some by then. A raccoon family really gave me some hassles this winter and so I will be putting some eggs in the incubator this week and in coming weeks too to bring my flock numbers back up! I will likely hatch some out that will be great as a pet. Any special color you are wanting?

I have Bantam Cochin roosters and Frizzles for sale. They are blue or grey or molted. I got the eggs from Dipsy here on BYC and hatched them out, I got more roosters than I need hence the need to sell. I had 2 hatches, this is my oldest hatch.
