how do you like your SL Wyandottes? I have 5 chicks that are going on 3 weeks old. got them locally and I got to see the parents. I liked them.

I'm about 20 min. east of the belt on 70.

Haven't started with chickens yet. Hoping to get some within the next 3 weeks. Want to finish the coop and run first. (should go a bit faster after taking DS and DD to the show in Lebanon yesterday. They are a bit more excited about the chickens now!)

DH seems to be a bit more excited as well. Esp after I told him that we should be able to get some pullets this fall for a decent price. (this whole chicken thing was HIS idea. I just took it and ran with it!!)

I am hoping to find some girls to bring home at the show in Columbus in a couple weeks. Not sure what exactly I'm wanting other than bantams. DD wants some Polish ladies. DS thinks she crazy. (he wants bantam ducks)

Glad to see there are so many Hoosiers on the board!

We went to the show in Lebanon. Really enjoyed seeing all the poultry and the quality birds. And, yes, we bought a couple more!

My 2 cents worth! I am in SW Indiana. I have Bantam Cochins and Cochin x Silkie. Am trying to stay with Frizzles, Blues and splash. Let me know if you have any.

It is great to see so many local people on here! Just wanted to let you all know that I usually have some started hens available to sell, ages and breeds vary greatly, so let me know if you all are looking for some.

My sister is working on getting some fizzle chicks next year. She has a blue fizzle cochin rooster. She has three black cochin hens. All of them are bantams. I am sure she will have some for sale, but that won't be until next spring. It is just something to think about. She also has really nice Ameraucana bantams. She will be selling some next year. I know she will have chicks and hatching eggs. I am not sure if she will have adults for sale.

I will have LF Ameraucana blues and blacks chicks and hatching eggs for sale next spring if anyone is interested. I already have a list started.
