My Narragansett hen started laying in January last year, but her daughter hasn't started and it's mid February.

Of course, with single digit and below zero temps, that's really a good thing as they'd freeze in the coop before I could gather them, but I am impatient to fill my incubator!

Yes!!! My little girls are laying most every day. They stopped for a while but then put in a 60 watt bulb for a little more heat and light and they took off again.

Here in the southeast part of michigan my BR hens started laying eggs March 9th. They don't have any heat or lights in their coop. First year with breeding turkeys.

Cheesychicken, do you have any hatching eggs to spare? I have a 200 egg incubator begging to be filled!
