Hmm. I remember a post a few weeks back about a striking lavender bird. I think they were trying to determine gender? Anyhow, I tried looking for it but failed. There's a fuzzy memory in my head about it being an ameraucana... but I may be wrong. Do you remember if it had a beard? Was it fluffy (cochin-esque) or close-feathered (leghorn-esque)?
Who knows, maybe the author of that post and owner of that chicken will see this!
close-feathered (leghorn-esque) not fluffy...Maybe I'll pray really hard someone else is as chicken obsessed as me and they will know what I'm talking about.
Im am going day by day starting from april 17, 2011 looking at every possible post hoping to find that most beautiful bird.
no luck tonight and i'm sleepy. I will keep trying...maybe just maybe i'll find what I'm looking for. Someone here on BYC has the bird i'm looking for!!

There are so many birds that are lavender . . .
Possible a self-blue rose comb?! (Search rose comb.) These are a small banty breed.
A self blue d'uccle? (Search d'uccle.) Feather footed, muffs on the face (usually).
I have lavender Ameraucanas that are banties. Doubt that's what you're thinking of . . .
There are MANY options. If you can find the body type and size, that would help. Do you remember the comb? Did it have feathered feet? Doesn't sound like it.
If you can figure out the body style you like, then you can search for that bird/breed in the color you prefer.
ETA: WAIT!! Are you thinking about a Blue Andalusian? They somewhat resemble a leghorn, but are smaller.
