My third attempt to hatch successfully. Maybe third time is a charm with dry incubation? Lets hope and pray. I put 8 LIVELY cochin x silkies into lockdown this morning. Anybody with me?

Yeah I have my one lonely egg in lockdown. I had 13 but I checked around day 10 and threw some out and then last night checked andonly one was good. I didn't see the chick moving either so that is a little scary. This is my first hatch. I think most of the eggs were not fertile because we just got a rooster about 3 weeks before I grabbed eggs and he is really young. I am already collecting eggs for a second batch and writing which chicken they came from. I"ll set probably 15 next time. HOpe your chicks hatch well.

I have 9 locked down as of yesterday; one hatched this morning (!), hoping for the remaining 8. Adding 5 Yokahamas to lockdown today. Fingers crossed. Have only used broodies before - this time using a Brinsea.

Ok hatching buddies. I have 50 eggs going into lockdown tomorrow. BOs, BRs, Blue Rocks, RIRs and Dels and another 50 of the same breeds going into lockdown on Oct. 18th.

I locked down also today, I have 6LB Cochin, 2 mottled cochin and 2 BTBJ eggs, they all looked good when I candled them to day so hoping for all to hatch, but never had that happen yet. Good luck everyone

I locked down 7 eggs that I received from misred871 the other day from a swap. I know there's some Buff Orphingtons in there, but no idea what else she sent me. I love surprises!
