Anybody tried wrapping their roost bars in rope?

I don't suggest using rope-wrapped roosting bars, here are my opinions: bacteria could grow in the rope where you can't clean it, and could get you or your chickens sick. (Not super likely...But it's good to think of all the things that could happen.)
Not convenient especially if in the future you have a mite or other parasitic problem and you can't clean under the rope.
Could eventually get frayed and your chicken's feet can get caught (again, not likely, but can definitely happen.)
It might be slippery for them.
Just my opinions. People can totally use rope-wrapped bars, just need to keep in mind the things that may happen.

(P.S. I know this is an old thread, but I had already started writing this when I realized lol.)
