Anybody turned chickens into a career?

i buy 100 or more ,,50 of each breed,,at a time from the hatchery,, then start selling them 48 hours later,, i would LOVE to be able to sell older hens,,,but i just cant keep them long enough lol, if i have a baby over 2 months old, that means its gonna be 1 of MINE,,lol, and if i had 1000 laying hens, i could sell them in a week or 2.

Oh my goodness, do you sell that many year round and how much do you charge per chick? (if you don't mind that I ask)

yup i sell as long as i have birds to sell,, and if i go a week without birds , i have angry customers that go on a "next week" list lol
i sell them for $3 a piece, after 3 months ( if i ever have some last that long,) its $5, then $10 for 5 month till laying,, then maybe someday ill have 1 laying to sell lol, them are $15 ,, i messed up 1 time and sold a bunch of my layers,, i didnt think i was gonna get into selling birds,,,,,, but that wont happen again lol.

Jim, That's what a couple of homeschooler famiies do here in Va too. I used to buy from them. Good for you!
