I picked this coop up the other day and got it put together today to be able to put my chicks in for the first time. The name is Precision Pet Products TSC Hen House Coop. Assembly went well and was quicker to assemble than I had originally thought it would be. It's got good construction for a kit coop. Here's the dimensions:
3 1/2' high
6.5' length
2.5' wide
It has 2 nesting boxes, a house with 2 roosts, an asphalt run, walk through door, house door, fence door, asphalt roof, and exterior egg access.
We have 4 chickens. 2 buff orpingtons and 2 "barn yard" breed that's half Cuckoo Maran. Will this be enough room for them? They are also going to free range some too. Has anyone used this coop?

Are those the dimensions of the whole thing or just the coop part? Unfortunately these coops usually advertise that they can hold way more birds than they really can. For four birds, you'd want a minimum coop space of 16 square feet and run space of 40 square feet.

I have that coop with the additional run with 4 hens. I don't see it lasting more than a year or two as the cheap wood will likely rot and the roosts are just level in the house. Will be building my own custom coop and run as time allows but it will get me started. Thank goodness it was on sale or I would have been really disappointed.

I bought this coop. It does not hold up to weather, it's warped, rotted, and leaks. Mine is two years old. We don't use it but to put chicks out for playtime.

I bought this coop on sale about a year ago. Not the sturdiest coop out there, but can be retrofitted and reinforced. Need to put hardware cloth on the bottom since otherwise it just sits on the dirt, not good. Probably good for a couple of years, I agree it's only acceptable for two large hens or possible three little girls. The picture on the box showed a Barred Rock hen climbing up the ramp....either photo shopped, or a bantam breed...mine duck their heads when it's bedtime to access the upstairs "penthouse". Since my chickens only go in for the night, and spend their time during the day in a 48 square foot run, it will do. Fairly easy to clean out.

It's big enough for 2 hens max. I wish they would stop selling those.

X 2- or at least stop using completely unrealistic and unfounded measurements in their calculations of the number of animals it can properly house. I do have one similar (picked up recently off CL) but I have it specifically for an isolation unit and grow out pen, not as a permanent housing unit for any of my birds. Not only is the capacity inflated, the actual product itself is cheaply/poorly made.

I bought this.....it's okay, it's definently not a permanent coop. We have 5 chickens in it right now, but they are not fully grown so space isn't our issue right now. I know I will have to build one for this winter, there is way too many drafts and cracks in this for the chickens in the winter. This is fine for the summer with a large run, totally not good for winter. Do I regret buying it? Yes, but at the moment, I didn't have time to build a coop so I had to buy this. Good for starting out on chickens, not good in the long run.
