I can understand about false advertising the hatcheries do. No prob there. But I honestly dont hold it against someone for not being able to spell. I really think it judgemental to say oh you cant spell that breed that you have, then you are uninformed and dont know what you are talking about. That is wrong to do that. You are saying that anyone who misspells a breed they have then they are uninformed,
Ive been quilty of it before. But Im sure you havent because you are more informed than I am.
My point is worry more and be more picky about educating people on the breed and dont waste all your time making sure they spell it right wethere they now anything about the breed or not. I would rather buy from a breeder that knows alot about the breed but misspells the name, than I would a breeder that dont know anything about the breed but can spell it frontwards, backwards, up and down and every right way imaginable.
not being able to spell the breed you have raises a flag. For example- someone advertises *real nice* doberman pinscher puppies for sale but they spell it as doberman pincer (because that is what spell check suggests). Would you really feel confident buying a pure bred dog from them? Is what they are saying they have and what they actually have the same?
I have purchased *show prospect* puppies and I KNOW I would never buy from someone that can't spell what they have.......
Now, I am not saying because you can spell it means you have it.....but not being able to spell it correctly tells
ME a lot....
This is what I mean. For example, I know, everyone makes spelling errors. Here is my example, and I will use a dog example here. I see an advertisement for Corgys. I see this it tells me that the person advertising the Corgys, was too lazy to even learn about the breed, enough so that they do not even know how to spell the name of what they are selling and are probably just out to make money. It is showing me carelessness in what they are doing, and I stop to wonder if they are careless about other aspects of the dogs care, health, which gives me a huge red flag that they are nothing more than a puppy mill.
And I understand about the pedigree thing and how they do not pedigree chickens. But this can be applied to other aspects. I would not hire someone who could not spell correctly for a job just because we have spell check. Its about how serious you are, or how much you care about the image you are presenting to others, in what you do, if you cannot put effort into learning, and learning some more about what you are doing, raising and breeding, then I do not want to buy anything from you.
These are just my thoughts. I know others will disagree with me and thats fine, I know we all have different opinions.
