Anyone actually like those jello salads?

Depends on the salad. I grew up with an orange jello shredded carrot one that I've NEVER made for my kids. My MIL made one of cool whip, orange jello mix, mandarin oranges and cottage cheese that I've played with: different jello mixes, different fruits. Results: pretty good. Raspberry/peach, cran/orange, lime/pear...any fruit combo that appeals to your taste buds should work.

I've also been exposed to the ambrosia one. As I cannot stand coconut, it's a hard no unless that's omitted. Nuts with jello reduce the appeal too (texture thing: jello shouldn't crunch)

The ones made with fruit are good! Carrots and the like I will pass lol!

Banana and mayo sandwich is ok. I haven't had one is a long time, though. Banana and peanut butter is better. And, way better than both is a pineapple and mayo sandwich.

I have never had it, only saw it on tv about Jello being the fancy food of the Royal family in the medieval time.

It does not look inviting to eat, not at all. I don't like my food to moving about, the jello's moves are not good moves, it moving is most unappetizing.

Banana and peanut butter was a staple when I was a kid, so good I have never had pineapple/mayo.
