I'm talking about their actual physical storefront location.

What I am wanting to know is how much of a selection of chicks they have if you just walk in? Is there many breeds to choose from? What about ducks, turkeys?

Thanks
Bo

I have not been there. I didn't realize they had a store front. I e-mailed them last spring to ask about coming down and picking up some chicks because I did not want to get fifteen, their minimum. They told me that I could order chicks and that pick up days were on Tuesday.

they have specific hatch days, and they deal with mail order or order to pick up, so they coordinate their hatches with when someone wants those specific birds, they dont have bins of chicks like tsc, so people cant just come in and pick thm out. you have to order, for pick up or mail, and then they coordinate a hatch for you. hope that helps!

Opa has been there...as a matter of fact, he's headed there next month I think. Do a search for him or look in the Michigan thread and find him. He can definitely help you out.

I would think they would have chicks for sale that were extras that hatched and didn't have any orders for and too old to ship. I think I've heard of people going to pick up those extra chicks for a really great price.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. I just thought if I made a trip up to Springfield to the Bass Pro Shop I could sneak up to Cackle and pick out some of the extras. I wanted to know what if there were many extras to select from. You know....would it be worth the trip?

I emailed them as i am not far from them about a month ago and they said if i wanted, i could come to the store and see what "extra" chicks they have for sale. So i am pretty sure they do have random chicks for sale from time to time.

They do have extras...lots of extras... in brooders in the front.
