Anyone besides me REALLY tired of Facebook?

One thing I learned about facebook is it can cause a lot of drama...People love to stir up stuff and gossip. I never post anything personal but I have bunch of 'friends' on there that do. They always have 'fb arguements' with other people, I think its stupid. I pretty much just post pictures and comment on family memebers and close friends pages/pics.

Wow Steph', That's really great! Hope you don't mind, I downloaded a copy to put on my player.

"Friending" is one of my major complaints regarding Facebook. When I was still working I used to hear young people say, "I have 9,623 friends." I always thought to myself, "Wow! I'm three times your age and I only know about 7 or 8 people that truly deserve the title 'friend'. How many of these people have you ever actually met?"

Incidentally, OldGal loves your ring.

Thanks again for listening, and yes, I agree email changed the world of communication into something very impersonal...Don't get me wrong, I love emailing my 86 year old mother in Florida. I've been living in Germany for 17 years, so the convenience is wonderful. But. I just gave her an ipad, and now skyping is better than letters or phone conversations!!!

Hey, you're from Concord? I grew up in Perry! My brother is a township trustee in Leroy. I love the metroparks. Whenever I'm in Ohio (every two years or so) I put lots of miles under my running shoes.

I like facebook, and the fact you can 'visit' and converse with people if you want. I personally dislike using the telephone, and being on the farm here, and so busy with that, and driving a school bus, it kind of gets me out there. I love the photo's, and seeing others' pics. I however think those games are idiot, and all the other apps too. And, honestly.. why would you befriend someone you wouldn't normally talk to, that you just happened to know at one time? I find it hard to believe that someone can have hundreds of friends.

Personally I think FB is nonsense. Fake friends, too much information and people posting their private lives and all sorts of personal information on the World Wide Web? For everyone to see? At work recently I sat and watched a colleague go on Facebook and had a look at the stuff people put on there. I'll pass, thank you.

Wow, I guess its all what you make of it. After all, there's drama on BYC as well. I use FB to touch base with folks or see what the 'pulse' is in the neighborhood and the like. I've certainly deleted people or blocked them. All game apps are blocked because there's certainly no time for that nonsense.

But I love facebook.
