Anyone burn a counter top?

So cooking last night the pan was really hot and ended up burning me and I placed it on the counter top not even thinking about it and it burned the crap out of it......anyone have this happen and repaired it? Any tips?

I didn't burn it, but I melted the glue and we had a big ole "bubble" there till we replaced it What kind of countertop do you have? Formica?

Been there done that and the kitchen cabinets caught fire. Got a new kitchen!

My boo boo was a candle , it was in a holder but still got to hot. We have not fix it yet .We are going to put in new kitchen next yr.
