Has anyone ever caught a baby opossum or just adults lately ive caught adults but today I caught a baby and it was i think playing dead or dying.

lots of baby coons last yr but no possum, the one I caught in a bucket I re homed, never came back or at least not in my coop or run

if the adults are a problem(and I know they can be I would treat the baby the same way you treat the adult

Ive caught already two adults that were aggressive and the baby was to. And i caught two raccoons. I dont release things out of my trap unless its cats and i do that where I catch them I dont drive them somewhere else to release them. Lol

I've caught youngons many times and once I trapped a nursing mother with her youngons attached and nursing. That was sad but they all had to go.

If you've ever caught a female possum you have likely caught baby possums. I think that they are born about the size of a grain of rice and most people never see the youngest possums unless they look carefully for them because they're still attached to a teat inside their mothers' pouch.

I've never caught a baby but once and I gave it to my local vet. He raised it and it lived for about 3 years before it got out and disappeared. apparently it made a great pet I went over and saw it several times. The biggest problem he had was trimming its nails all the time and supplying steps everywhere so it didn't scratch his furniture
