Great - albeit slightly troublesome in an Adam's Family sort of way...

You guys are deh best! Ok, am NOT the only one cooking for my birds, but I am the only one wondering if it's just a tad nutty to do so. I can live with that!

Am making a list for my girlies.

Scrambled eggs - Check!

Scrambled eggs mixed with chicken food dust - Check!

The scrambled eggs thing makes even more sense as they lay way the hell more eggs than myself and my neighbors co-workers can consume. Three chickens, 3 eggs most days, loads of eggs. I've gotten to the point I walk up to coworkers and force eggs on them, like zuchinni growers in Lake Woebegon.

Where was I? Spaghetti.... uh... little check...

So, you all cook for your birds, which means I can see my Famous Amos Chicken Cookie fortune flying out of the coop and into the sunset...

i also scramble eggs for mine but when i do i leave the shells in it...smashed to tiny bits

don't be discouraged that we cook for our hens, your famous amos chicken treats might sell through the roof...i mean geeze, google "dog treat recipe." sure hasn't hurt the sales of those

i bake "birdie bread" pretty frequently. i start with a cornbread base, add eggs (shell and all), whatever fruits and veggies i have on hand, enough milk to bring it to cornbread consistency, and bake until it tests done. i offer it to both my caged birds and poultry as a treat. they all seem to love it

I cook for my dogs and chickens more than I do myself. I use their eggs, so the girls get hard boiled eggs at least 3 times a week. I like ot mix it with left overs, and weird concotions I make for them.

I've made "chicken bread" twice with my leftover "dust" and my chickens love it. They think they are getting cake. I'm not a cook and I didn't even have a recipe. A few eggs, some milk and a pinch of baking powder or soda. I think a good corn bread recipe will work. Just substitute the dust for the cornmeal. If you perfect a recipe please post it
