Anyone due around Dec 5th?

This is my first incubating experience that seems to be (knock on wood) successful. The first time I cooked them by accident when the temp shot up to 105

I moved our bator into the kitchen where I could check on it ALL THE TIME! It's been really REALLY steady. i am pleased. I have what appears to be two ancona half breeds hatching. The other two sex links are a bit slow lol That's alright. But I definitely got the bator fever now.

I have to say JMajors...Those DUCKLINGS are adorable!!!

For some of you newbies and us not quite newbies......the wet sock works good but the best was when I put my one duckie that was not doing good in a wet paper towel to keep her moist until she sucked in the yolk.......the humidity went from 56 to 80 like in 2 hours! That was AWESOME!!! Keep that in mind if you need to spike a humidity.

FUZZY DUCKIE AND GOSLING BUTTS!!!

miss-jayne, I hatched chicks at 45 humidity but what i have seen with them is they tend to get "stuck" and need help getting unstuck from the shell to continue on. With this bunch of duckies and goslings, I had that problem at 50% humidity but when it climbed, I did not have to help out ANY of the goslings. I would look at this link

http://www.msstate.edu/dept/poultry/hatch.htm

towards the bottom it has a chart for type of hatchling and temp and humidity for a chick it says:

Species -Chicken
Incub. Period (days) - 21
Temp - 100
Humidity - 85-87%
Do not turn after 18th day
Humidity Last 3 days 90%
Open vent more 18th day
