I've heard, read, and now eaten duck eggs, chicken eggs, but has anyone or does anyone eat/sell goose eggs? If so, what is the difference in chicken and duck besides the obvious size difference. And how much do you sell them for? I know of a farm near me that sells duck eggs for $5 for only a 1/2 dozen, does that sound steep for only a 1/2 dozen duck eggs? If they were goose eggs then maybe. But I'm just curious.

I have never eaten goose eggs but I do sell them. I sell my goose eggs for $4.00 per egg for eating and $6.00 for hatching. I sell my duck eggs for $3.00 per dozen for eating and $13.00 per dozen for hatching.

Goose eggs are a hard sell if duck eggs are available. Yes the size difference is a proplem I like three egg omlents But one goose egg is hard to finish. Besides duck eggs have an advantage since they are more a part of the diet overseas. Geese are much more seasonable than duck eggs there really is only about a month that geese eggs are available. Most people have learned that the best use of a goose egg is to hatch it, you feed the gosling for only a short period and put it on pasture for the summer, with decent graze they don't need to be fed. In fall feed to fatten and eat the goose for great meat. I sell more eggs for crafts than any other purpose. I have a method of drilling one small hole, blow out the contents (which are still edible) Wash and santize the inside allow to dry and sell for crafts ($0.50/each smaller ones. $1 for the big ones)
The price for duck eggs is set by supply and demand. Around here where there is a good demand and a good supply most of the time $0.50/each is pretty standsrd. During mating time in the spring prices fall like chicken eggs do. In winter it might take $1 to get a egg.

Eat mine all the time, I figure one goose egg equals 3 chicken/duck eggs....Haven't tried to sell eggs yet, still perfecting the emptying without destroying egg or making a too big hole ........

My boys, especially my oldest LOVES to do crafts. That is something I might have to try and do when I collect eggs to eat them. Now how do you wash and disinfect the inside without breaking it?

Hi, do you have anymore goose for sale? I would like some ship to Alabama soon.

I'm interested in purchasing goose eggs to eat. Do you know where I can find them?
