Anyone else a bad influence on the neighbor's kids?

I'm a bad influence on my city cousin. She came over to drop her son off with us for a week this summer and fell in LOVE with our silkies and our polish. I love her, but it figures she would like the Froo Froo breeds - she's a pretty Froo Froo lady herself, lol.

Here's one bad influence:

And, here's the other - she says he reminds her of a leopard print feather boa, lol!

My next door neighbor(next house) is from Puerto Rico and has three daughters all with kids. The weekends around here get to be like block parties. Some people in the neighborhood stick their noses up at it but I LOVE it. The kids always wanna see the chickens and they all want to help me take care of them too. A few of the grand-daughters live in the house and each one of them had a designated silkie of her own.

Every now and then there would be visitors from the Island who didn't speak English. My neighbor would always ASK if he can show his guests my chickens. They would walk in my barn and go NUTS and start telling me chicken stories in Spanish and calling more people over to see the CT boy's chickens. I was immediately part of the family.

Somehow Mr Saddi and I are the cool parents. We always have popsicles to share, animals to pet when asked, and extra bikes for kids who left thiers at home. One of us is out when the kids are out front, and when he's building a cage in the garage, the door is open so the kids can come in and ask questions.

Now after a few months of living near us, all the cool kids have chickens (helps that I offer to help people with questions, and Mr Saddi will help you build a tractor over the weekend, bring the kids to have water ballon fights in the backyard).

My grandson came to visit us for a month this summer. He kept asking us to get him chickens so we told him to ask hi sparents. He wanted silkies. Surpriseingly they said yes and he went home happy with 4 silkies. He just came back for anothr 2 week stay and the first thing his parents said was no more chickens. Seems once he got them home it was up to Mom to take care of them. Luckily she has fallen under the evil silkie curse and is in love with them. Now all her neighbor kids are wanting silkies too. They live in Port Saint Joe in a residential area. They also rent their house from her parents who are not amused.....
