Anyone else a fan of Dave Ramsey?

I listen to Dave every day on my drive home. I too, wish I could have read his latest book 20 years ago; it would have saved me a great deal of angst. At least I've been able to teach my kids so they hopefully don't make the same mistakes I did.

I don't agree with all of his advice on investing in the stock market. For example, he doesn't seem to be a big proponent of mixing bonds in with stocks. I also think his 12% average annualized return is overstated.

I hope to someday take his training course that will assist me in teaching others his methods.

I also don't agree with everything he says.

I think that most of his advice is really good.

I do listen to him, but not everyday. It seems to be the same ole stuff after a while. I haven't seen his tv show. I looked for it but couldn't find it. I have dishnetwork. No clue where to find it.

I'm not sure who he is. Is he the crazy guy who always has his sleeves rolled up?
DH and I have been credit card free for over 10 years. Cash or nuttin'. We've steered clear of ARM's and high interest rates. We only have one truck payment and the house + utilities, which we are current on. But the plant is closing in July......then,

We went to one of his seminars up in Memphis He is a really good speaker we paid off our land and house early. It sure is hard to stay away from those credit cards though. my daughter was having some trouble with her bills. I found out the other day she 0wed over $20,000 in credit card debt. Crazy!

My parents just got his box of stuff not too long ago. I'm gonna get it tonight! We don't have alot off dept but still have money issues. Both our cars are paid off but with the roomie leaving, I'm not sure how we/DH stands on the house. We kinda bought it with her, long story. Thats the only real dept we have.
