Anyone else a huge nerd about a random thing(s) other then chickens???

Google says “Geeks are “collection” oriented, gathering facts and mementos related to their subject of interest. They are obsessed with the newest, coolest, trendiest things that their subject has to offer. Nerd - A studious intellectual, although again of a particular topic or field.”

I’d consider myself both then
Wait so are we all geeks then? We do collect chickens/poultry after all.

Geeks are the nerds of nerds. The classic stereotypical nerd if you will. Creatures of nightmares.

now I am actually curious as to what the difference is
Yes that is incorrect. It's the opposite. Geeks are avid enthusiasts. Needs are the rules lawyers and subject matter experts.

Hi. Would you like geek me or nerd me?

Hmmm, what are you into?

Hydroponic Gardening (it's fun to control all the parameters without nature interfering). I have a lot of gear but no space to use it in.
Horses including natural training and hoofcare, because nature knows best (hehe, see what I did there).
I'm trying to write a Sci-Fi book...

Also, studied MBTI / other typology systems / psychology... but I've already digested a great deal and still have no practical application for any of it.
Breeding fish (Bettas, fancy Guppies)... can't have tanks right now.

At this stage in life I want to learn something with practical applications, but that's exactly the sort of thing I kinda suck at. Getting anything done, lol.
I have my private Pilots license from when I was 17 but I could never get funded for more education so that's just a sentimental piece of plastic. I thought maybe I could go through the coursework books for Instrument rating and beyond but not only wouldn't that accomplish anything, it costs money.
Why does knowledge have to cost money? It's so not fair. 🫤
