Do you panic for a split second every time you peek in the brooder at night?
Lol...I've raised several batches now and I *know* they're just sleeping, but every time I walk in the laundry room and see my keets facedown in the shavings, my heart leaps!
I'm silly. If only they could sleep in a less dead sort of pose.
 
I said just the other day, "I wish they would sleep a different way, some times they look dead and it's freaky!"
I know exactly what you mean.
 
I do it with baby humans too, stand and watch for movement to be sure they're breathing.
