I have 12 Black Jersey Giant's that hatched the 3rd and 4th. I started with 16 eggs and they were shipped. 3 of the 16 eggs were clear and there is still 1 in the bator that I doubt will hatch. These eggs were wrapped securely in bubble wrapped and put in a box full of pine shavings.
I also have 2 Partridge Cochin out of 5 eggs(3 blood ringed), 2 BLRW out of 3 eggs(1 clear), 1 Black Copper Maran out of 4 eggs(1 died after hatch, 2 were clear), 0 out of 2 Splash Maran(still in bator, doubt they will hatch), 6 Standard Light Brahma out of 9 eggs(2 clear, 1 still in bator), and 0 out of 1 Black Maran(still in bator). These eggs were also shipped and arrived same day as Jersey Giants. They were wrapped lightly in bubble wrap and put in egg cartons and then taped down. The box was filled with empty egg cartons.
A nice hatch all together, but very disappointed in the second group of eggs. I don't think I will have any type of maran egg shipped again. I will just wait for my girls to start laying and go from there.
