Anyone else EXCITED to be getting baby chicks in the mail soon??

I'm expecting a bunch of birdies from IDEAL ship date 2-10! Here is what I'm getting

10 silkies (3 partridge, 2 blue, 2 buff, 2 red, and 1 black) STR.
10 broilers STR
3 EE's (pullet)
3 white laced red Cornish (pullet)
5 assorted ducks
and a brown Chinese goose pair

The mix includes Black Copper Marans, White Marans, Golden Cuckoo Marans, Blue Splash Marans. I don't know if you can get just pullets or not. Oh, what to do, what to do?!

We just placed an order for our very first chickens! Ours should arrive May 12 from Meyer Hatchery.

I wanted different colored eggs, and could not make up my mind:

2 Barred Rock
2 Speckled Sussex
3 Ameraucana
2 Welsummer
2 Buff Chantecler
1 Black Copper Maran
2 White Leghorn
1 Light Brahma
1 Columbian Wyandotte
10 Dark Cornish (for meat)

I really, really hope they all arrive safely!

Not getting chick but very excited to go get a trio of oegbs at the first local auction in april I know most of the sellers personally so not taking a huge risk on not knowing what I'm getting, but very excited because these will be my first chickens in around 4 years and first adult chickens in 18 years, they will have to go back at the end of sept. but if all goes well I'm doing it again next year. Now if I could just decide of a variety.....hmmm

A friend of mine is ordering from Meyers..he let me add a few chicks to his order..I'm very excited!!!
I added-3 White Barred Rocks

I'm very excited to.....I've never order chicks in the mail.....always tried to find them close and drive to get them. Me and a friend ordered together to save on shipping costs and because neither one of us have room for 25 more chicks. I'm getting 4 Buff orphs and 8 Black stars. So excited!!!! I'm in the process of buidling a new BIGGER brooder in the basement for the new additions. I also just ordered some hatching eggs.....(have I lost my mind?) Did I mention that I don't have any more room?? lol Why do I do this......I'm so addicted!!!!!!!!!

I just ordered my chicks from McMurray. I've always had good luck with them in the past. I went a really wide selection this time so I'm really excited to see them when they arrive. I had to get more cochins[I love them] and speckled sussex too! I also got silver spangled hamburgs, red caps, golden campines, domiques,columbian wyandottes,buff rocks, golden polish and laced wing polish!!!! Can't wait!!!!! I'll have to though as they aren't arriving until April 19!!!!

I ordered 16 day old chicks from Meyer. They are due to arrive on March 15th, which puzzles me, because that is a Monday.
A local chicken person told me that he won't buy from then anymore b/c they arrived dead, twice. I live in Western PA, north of Pittsburgh. So I'm very worried b/c my DH doesn't want any chicks at all and won't let me replace them, he says.
Maybe I'll drive to Polk OH instead.

Has anyone had any luck w/ Meyer, positive or negative?

I haven't ordered from them before I've always went with IDEAL and McMurray. Those two always mail out in the beginning or middle or the week so they don't end up sitting in the PO. You could always cancel your order and get them from some where else.
