When I got home yesterday I pet Momma and she hopped off the nest (she's a little egg stealer - I found she snagged one of the standard's eggs and pulled them in with her clutch - geez there is no stopping this girl - she's so determined to hatch something!)... I looked at the eggs and gently rolled a few over... I felt silly admitting this but I put one up to my ear to see if I could hear anything - nothing.

Eggs are due to hatch late Saturday or sometime Sunday. I REALLY hope at least one of the 6 hatches - my banty girl really deserves it.

Ok Im doing the happy dance, Ive had 5 hatch so far and one more is trying and than one I could hear.. Yes I know I shouldnt have but I did..
Im so happy these are the eggs that everyone thought were dead becasue they were at a friends house and got to 102 for two days. I did lose 6 eggs from it last Sat though..
Good luck everyone mine hatched becasue they had the high heat for those days..

I have one chick out 3 big pips and the starting of zips. the ones that were due yesterday i picked them up held to ear 2 out of the 3 i heard peck peck on egg woot still in there. Ducks are rocking nothen so far for them.

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!

I've got 4 fluffy butts running around the coop all dry and peeping. 2 white and 2 buff....

Then as I was standing there #5 zipped out of no where and ended up all wet and tired under mama!

So I have 5 total!!!!!!!!!!! 5 out of 6 fertile egg with 1 dying early because it got crushed and dried out too early. This is my best hatch EVER!!!!!!!!!

Ok... going to finish my coffee.... then off to take pictures because they are so darn CUTE.

I haven't gotten another update from my mom this morning. I had nightmares and tossed and turned all night...

And the kicker...I couldn't even focus on my studies and I have a test today in animal science!! These eggs are gonna be the death of me yet!

I really hope I get a pip and/or a hatch today...I am really getting worried.
