Anyone else hatching this weekend??

Hi! I just moved this weeks' hatch from hatcher to brooder this morning (4 Ancona ducklings and a bunch of chicks).
Got to clean the hatcher and get ready to move eggs set the 6th (duck) and the 13th (chicken) in. I've got some Muscovy eggs set the 1st that might mess things up --- not sure how I'll work that.
Congratulations and Good luck with all the hatches!

I've got 4 under a broody. I can hear peeping!! Have no clue what is going on under her! I have 1 BLRW, 2 OEGB, and 1 Cochin. All sitting under a buff wyandotte. Talk about a diverse group!!

I've one egg hatching hopefully today.

Another due on Feb 3.
Another 3 on Feb 8.
Another 3 on Feb 13.
And anywhere from zero to 19 due on Feb 18, we'll find out in a few days.
Plenty of company coming up for my 3 chicks that are 2-4 weeks old right now!

Just helped my last 4 hatch (had one last night). Total incubator issues (LG) this time so I knew they were all shrink wrapped - and they were. They are fluffing up in the incubator now. So glad to have this one over with! One more to go next weekend but it's in my new Brinsea Advanced so I'm breathing a bit easier. Congrats and good luck to everyone this weekend!

Robo.....could you tell me how to do a staggered hatching...or is there a sticky for that...our hatching went bad.
I am so upset on loosing chicks. For some reason several of them where pipping face down and we did not notice until the chicks where already dead. A lot of them also where very slow to zip or did not zip much at all. We tried to gently release them from the shell but it looked like some had not absorbed the yolk completely. We opened the bator several times and wonder if this is why the last 13 did not do anything. Opened some today and the chicks where fully developed but never pipped.
Keep the bator closed.....lesson learned..I think this was the cause of our demise.

What else could we have done???
Thanks!
