So recently I have decided to take my love (addiction

) of chickens another step farther and decided to change my bathroom around without any repainting in order to make it all chicken-themed. I now have hand towels, a little mat, and washclothes as my first step, next being getting some good photography of all our guys and gals today and see which are the best to hang up in the three beautiful frames I had stored away. I am now on the search for any statues, bath towlels, e.t.c.

I was wondering...anyone else out there been on that kick and have a room or more decorated (and dedicated ) to chickens?

I don't really do "themes" per se, but I think a lot of the chicken kitchen stuff is cute... unfortunately I have resisted the STRONG urge to buy any (found some rubber mats for in front of the stove or sink on clearance, would have been nice for my knees/back) but I know as soon as my MIL or any other family members on DH's side see it they will assume I am collecting chicken items and for the rest of my life that is what I will receive for every birthday and Christmas gift. I am in the process of purging and simplifying our living area with a somewhat minimalist mindset so that would be tough to get past (they are all into nick knack type items - my MIL's house is sooooo cluttered it's hard to find a place to sit sometimes).

I am going shopping for some curtain fabric today... I might cave and get something chicken themed. I do have a beautiful old window pane painting a lady my mom knows did for me (in exchange for more old window panes) - it is chicken themed and really cute.

Years ago i purchased a rooster fabric to redo a overstuffed chair, this was before i had chickens, lol.Any ways i seen this chair on tvand it had beautiful roosters on the fabric,i special ordered the fabric, and it is still in the cupboard!

My kitchen...not so much towels but nice paintings and a collection of older collection plates featuring hens and roosters. I also have a lovely 12 inch tall ceramic rooster.
I want to repaint the kitchen a warm butter yellow and redo the cabinet fronts in Shaker style doors. Maybe when it gets a little cooler so we can cook more outside during the redo.

I am restraining myself-I have bought a few stylized art type pieces-a tray, a vase and an old wooden weathervane. I seem to be spending all my money on real chickens and all their chicken related expenses!

My house

My kitchen, complete set of dishes, soup urns and all. Kitchen towels, clocks, salt and pepper shakers. The entire length of the tops of my cabinets are covered with chicken statues, chicken wine glasses. And much more.
My living room is the same, big chicken planters, pics, clocks, lamps, statues, rugs.
And down my hallway.

My husbands mancave is off limits it is covered in wolves and bass fishing.
My room is full of chihuahuas and dragons. LOL

One of my friends only has a dog and two cats, but her kitchen is filled with roosters. Rooster plates, bowls, wall decorations, statues, etc. If I counted the chicken things in our house it wouldn't amount to more than twenty!

That's awesome! It's good to have a variety like that and I love the chicken decorations you mention!
