Anyone else have a Omlet up & go?

Hi there,
New to keeping chickens after 15 years in Melbourne, Australia. I had chickens in NZ who were mainly free-range and had a great set up. But due to living residential and after months of research decided on the Omlet up & go. It says can house 4 chickens but I personally feel 3 is max.

Anyway, I've had the girls 1 week with the coop on the grass and had forgotten how much they can rip up the lawn, is it best to move it around the grass or put it on concrete with a deep litter bed then free range them for a few hours a day?

Or alternatively leave them, sacrifice the grass build up some litter then replace the lawn when I move eventually?

I'm in a rental property and don't want to destroy the grass.

Thank you for your help ☺️

I just built my run where there wasn't much grass  not very useful here.
Those are quite expensive for the little space they have in my opinion but it all depends on your flock.
Thank you. I have 4 in my flock, 2 Silver Grey Dorkings and 2 Easter Eggers although I'm not sure what they are crossed with

I am not sure. I did not buy an Inlet because I felt they were very expensive with only a little space. I love my coop to keep grass but many people use deep litter method. @azygous @PippinTheChicken @Wyorp Rock @-Flash- What do you guys use?
Most of mine roam, but I also have some permanent structures - run "floor" is dirt with straw, leaves, etc. All pretty much dry and under cover.
I'm afraid I don't really have any good answers for the OP but hopefully someone that tractors their birds will chime in.

Hello @Emamaree
I too would like to buy the Omlet Go Up with the 3 meter run and it seems to me just the same model as yours.
My problem is that I don't understand what the real run width is. On the site it says 144 cm but is the horizontal anti-fox net included?
Thank you very much if you can give me the right measurements, it is a matter of space. I would not like to buy an object which then cannot enter the spaces provided, also considering the considerable cost.

Hello,
My understanding is it includes the skirt in the quoted measurement. See if you can buy a second hand one :)
