Anyone else have this problem with selling on ebay?

In order for you to be able to get your payment instantly you have to have at least 100 positive feedback. That is the way they have it set up now. If you have supplied a conformation number they (paypal) can track it to show you have shipped then after they have proof they wait 3 days after the item was received and release your money. You can call paypal and sometimes they will go ahead and release it . I have done this before. and I have over a thousand feedback 100% positive. but I opened up a seller account and where I only had 10 feedback they held the money.
Go to the contact us page and you can get the phone number to contact them on the matter. It should not take 21 days.

I have a feedback score of 26 100% and they don't hold mine anymore.

I refuse to use ebay now because of this kind of junk! Just for the record, I have a 100% feedback of over 200 and still had problems with them. I decided enough was enough! Too many headaches!

I don't sell on there anymore either. I mean when I was selling that is the way they had it now they base the listing charges on your selling feedback and everything and they charge an arm and a leg for the fees plus the final value fees and then you have the paypal fees so they make sure they get their part. we sold an incubator on there a lyons tx7 with auto turn for 140.00 they charged me an 18.00 final value fee then took 5.00 out of the paypal for fees then I had the listing fee of 3.00 and some odd cents. we sure lost out on it. I can understand why people have raised their prices they have to in order to come out even.

I've heard that people are leaving Feebay in droves, going to www.onlineauction.com, www.ubid.com, etc.

I've also heard that more and more buyers are getting away with stealing items. Because I don't sell on Ebay, I don't understand the whole paypal/feedback procedure. My niece, a stay-at-home mom, tries to recoup money by selling children's clothes. She recently sold an item for $35.00 and after shipping the item, the buyer left false negative feedback, and her money was withheld.

This is exactly what I am talking about. You can under frustration leave a pos feed back for a buyer and they in turn will either not leave feedback for you OR they will leave negative feedback and YOUR money is withheld. Then you CAN NOT retaliate the feedback, the buyer is always right. After awhile they can demand their money back and you are OUT OF THE MONEY AND THE ITEM YOU SOLD.

IT HAS HAPPENED, so do not tell me I am wrong !!

dont get me started on Feebay and the feedback bs.
I deal with it Daily and I HATE IT. I am trying to get the boss to let me try onlineauction. Heck right now I would be fine setting up a free standing website.

The feedback bs is what ticks me off the most.
Did you know that even if a sale never goes through. ie item was lost, broken, what ever. And you refund the monies paid that the buyer can still leave you feedback?
As a seller all you can do is respond to the feedback left. Then the "buyer" who technically bought NOTHING can reply to that and that's IT.
Oh and even if you refund the buyers money THAT same day, it can take up to a week for the buyer to get their money back? Whose fault is that? Paypal and the cc or bank the buyer used. But the buyer always blames the seller.

Negative feedback doesnt hurt the "power sellers" but for a new ebay seller it can cripple them. Lowers your search standing. Can make it so that you cant list items. So if you have a buyer with a hair across their butt you could potentially be toast.
I make sure all our questions and emails are answered within 24 hours. Even on the weekends when "we" are not open. I will get back to a customer letting them know we arent in, but that I will get them an answer first thing Monday morning. I answer questions truthfully. If there is a problem I let the customer know. But still the buyer is the only one that can leave a negative feedback. Even if I have had to literally hunt them down for a payment or a correct address.

yeah. I get paid to feebay. But I HATE them

rimshoes- I had that happen to me as well. Sold a really nice bridle. Sent it promptly. Buyer filed a claim saying she never got it. Paypal took the money back and both my paypal and ebay account were closed.
I was out the money and the bridle. That she did get. Since I saw her a week after she filed the claim with it on her horse at a show. This bridle was unique. no mistaking it.
I highly recommend that all small business's and private sellers using ebay send packages with a tracking number and sig due at delivery. But even with that pray whenever you sell somethign that the person you sold it to isnt a complete nut job
