I just wanted to share some pictures from this springs hatch. There were two blues, two black with dark grey patches and one yellow chick with a barely noticeable light brown chipmunk stripe. I was not expecting them to turn out so pretty with these patterns. When the yellow chick started to feather out I thought possibly it might be purebred Salmon Faverolle, but the more it feathers in the more off the pattern and some of the colors are.

Rooster: Salmon Faverolle
Hens: Speckled Sussex, Jubilee Orpington, Blue Copper Maran, Barred Rock, Penciled Barred Rock, Blue laced Red Wyandotte, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Barnevelder, Salmon Faverolle, Buff Brahma, Dark Brahma and Welsummer.

I'm a big fan of the diversity of barnyard mixes! :frow Yours are lovely!

As Forrest said, "you never know what you're gonna get." :D
Thank you! My husband wants to eventually hatch from our flock to raise for meat birds, but I told him he may have to go get some ugly chickens to raise as meat. If they all hatch out this cute I think I may have to go vegetarian😅
