Anyone else Raising Chicks right now?

i have a huge batch of new silkie chicks ( 13 ) in total. they were born over a period of a week near thanksgiving , i believe about 6 of them are frizzles and the rest normal silkies. they too are in a box in my living room. i live in north carolina and we are running about 25 degrees colder than normal. my coop is winterized , but i have no lights. I guess these babies will be in the house for awhile!!!....anyone interested in a silkie or two let me know!! i have 8 adult silkies , 2 leg horns, 2 windots, 2 astrlopes, AND 4 buff chochins, and one guinea hen!! 13 more is asking for trouble, need to make room or build again!!! its addicting.

My blue wyandottes are from Privett Hatchery. They are even more gorgeous in the sunshine.
I need to get some updated pictures of them. They are now 9 weeks and I have atleast 4 if not 5 roosters in the mix.

Just hatched 3 silkies last weekend that are adorable. Shrek was the first and is the friendliest. Rita runs from my so I am trying to win her trust. Poor Lola has pastie butt that I am trying to help her get over. Tommorrow the silkies will be a week old.

They got tired of me taking their pictures and gave me their final pose:

Got up this morning to check on the baby silkies and little Shrek got me so tickled. He came at me and did the rooster leg kick 2 times! Ofcourse, when I started giggling at him for it he just looked at me funny and it almost looked like he was smiling. I think he was trying to protect Lola from getting her hiney washed again. She looked better this morning so I did not bother her.

This evening though it does look like I need to clean her up some. Shrek seems to have really taken to Lola which is really cute.
Rita just loves to race around the pen full speed. All 3 of them are eating more and drinking more which is good. I think the yogurt is working it is just taking sometime to clear up Lola's pasty butt issue. Really want to see her to continue to improve. They all have such cute personalities.
