I like all music. Although I don't really listen to the Christian stations I have come across a good song now and again. Heck, I even like some degenerate crap! Lol.

Good luck with your challenge!

Hehe... Since I found a local station (have to fiddle with the radio in the car to actually "get" that particular station... that is Christian.. and really really good... it's all I listen to every month

How do you only listen to music on K-Love when you live in the world? You can't catch a ride with a friend for fear they're playing the wrong station? Can't take the elevator because they might be playing Lawrence Welk in there?

I wouldn't take that pledge, there are so many different and wonderful genres of music out there, all of them meant to be enjoyed. Like any other kind of music, some of it's good, some of it not so good. I don't think this is a project that God wants me to do right now, I think he has more important work that I could do in the kingdom. But I'll listen sometimes....

These are teens, just having goofy, innocent fun...
Lighten up a little..

Who said anything about living in the world? LOL It's not my home!

I don't think it rules out happening to hear other music, but what you decide on under your own means to listen to... and no one should feel pressure to. Do what makes you happy. But some of us might just find that making and sharing a commitment helps us do more of something that does make us happier... like listening to encouraging music.

I spent years listening to Christian music, as my only source of music....I realized that, like country music, the music of old was not today's music.....As long as the words Jesus, cross, blood, salvation, redemption was in the song, it qualified.

There was no true inspiration of the spirit, like the slave trader, who wrote Amazing Grace, during a huge storm.
It's just cranked out, by multiple songwriters and sound studios, hoping to make the next big hit.
Same with country music, and most other genres, I suppose.

Well, I can't help listening to stuff say, in the gym or the car, but all the songs I choose to listen to must be Christian.
