So our eggs should all be due today. How's progress?

My broody got out of her enclosed nest boxes by digging under the fence last Friday or Saturday (I wonder if she's been watching Chicken Run?), and I found her on the outside of the fence desperately trying to get back in. She keeps acting like she wants the food and water that the other girls have, instead of the food and water that I've got in there for her. Anyway, by the time I got her back on the eggs, about 9am, they were cool. It had probably been about two hours on a chilly morning, but I'm not sure.

So I'm really worried about the chickies.

No pips yet tonight. Hopefully they'll hatch tomorrow.

Hope you're all hearing the peeping of new babies tonight! Cross your fingers for us!

I have a chick! Finally! Went out to check on the broody, and got out there just in time to see a little black silkie coming out of its egg.

I've been so worried! Come on the rest of you lazy babies, come out of those shells already! I am dying here!
