Anyone else's rooster do this...

Interesting... Wondering though how he's guiding the hens, he kinda just walks around on the ground doing the egg song about 20 feet from the nesting boxes... While 5 or 6 hens are up there laying eggs. I tried to post the video, but for some reason it's not letting me. I suppose that could be the reason though. It's pretty neat though, people hear it signing the song and say 'That one's fixing to lay an egg on the ground" and I really, truly have to explain it's a rooster 😂

It has to be uploaded to YouTube or vimeo etc and linked back.
They are so goofy sometimes.

Your boy sounds sweet. I have a rooster who helps with eggs, he’s the best. He helps the hen get settled, then sits with the hen until she is done and then looks at the egg and does a lot of exciting talk/squeals. It’s really quite amazing, all of the interaction and involvement that goes on. Chickening is fun 😊

Quit it 😭 that story is making me feel bad about eating the eggs 🤦 I'm kidding, but yes it's definitely awesome to me. I have multiple chicken and this is the only rooster that does it... So that to me makes it more interesting.

I always hear it as a convo between rooster and hen.
Her: I LAID AN EGG!
Him: YOU DID WHAT?
Her: I SAID I LAID AN EGG!
Him: YOU DID NOT!
Her: YES I DID COME AND SEE!
Him: WHAT COLOR DE EGG IS?
Her: THE EGG IS EGG COLOR COME AND SEE!

And so on and so forth.

Yah, I don't get out much ... lol.

That's funny 😂 I get out a lot, but I'm just learning this chicken thing, and it's so neat. I wanted 14... And 7 months later I'm at 110 🤦 and I have more in the incubator 🤷 so eventually my getting out a lot, is going to be consumed with only chicken I suppose. I trip all mine out though, recorded one of the rosters crowing and I'll play it while I'm sitting with them and they all stare at me like they're going to eat me 😂😂😂
