Anyone ever get sick after getting flu shot?

Just so I dont get folks too upset, I would like to state for the record- I am NOT against any vaccinations. Just believe in getting the truth, as I know it, out there. You can do the research yourself to discover the truth, or just keep believing what the media tells you. Its no skin off my nose, I'm not trying to change anyones mind, I just thought maybe it wouldnt hurt to let people know that there IS funny stuff going on, and to say it isnt is plain uninformed. If you look to find out who makes the vaccination schedules, you can also see that those same people are getting profits from the vaccine maunfacturing companies. THAT is a conflict of interest, and doesnt seem to be in MY best interest.

BUT, that said, most of my kids and myself are vaccinated.

The most important point here is for everyone to do their own reasearch, know their own system and make the best health choices for themselves based on their own knowledge. Don't take my word for it and don't only take the government's word for it...

because of heart issues/poor immune system I am also a high risk factor. I'd rather have the flu for a day or two rather than get another dose of the swine flu and be down for a month.

I get a touch of the flu every single time I get the shot. When I don't get the shot, I have it for a week plus.

If I want the flu, I'll get it the natural way. I'm not interesed in getting shot up with it. And the one time I was working somewhere it was "required", I became mysteriously allergic to eggs, so I got a waiver. Funny, I was in the small camp that didn't miss any work that year as well.

If I remember the description of the flu outbreak in the late 19-teens (1918-1920?) correctly, the "Spanish Flu" made the rounds the first year with moderate effect and then came back with a vengenance the second year. Those infected the first go-round were not affected in the more deadly pandemic. I'm thinking that the viruses may not always mutate so far as to render one years strain not that much different than the next years strain. Conspiracy theories aside, since I have handled the shots fine as far as I know, I'll take my chances with the shot.

I've been getting the flu shot for over 30 years and never have a reaction to the shot other than minor tenderness at the injection sight due to an inch long needle being stuck into my muscle. I have rarely gotten sick ~ in fact I worked in the same job for 28 years and the only sick days I used for the first 18 years was 6 weeks of maternity leave.

A few years back i had a job working in a freezer where the temp was always about -15. Anyways i took the flu shot at work and got such a high fever i ended up taking my freezer suit almost off because i was so hot. I had a long miserable night that night. Needless to say, i haven't taken it since.

I went into a nursing program in '97, they told me "you have to get the Hep B series or you will be thrown out of the program" so I conceded. I became extremly ill after the first round of vaccinations and they couldnt pinpoint what was wrong with me. I now have Lupus. Never had lupus or any other issues before nursing school, was an adult when I went to nursing school... then they tried to mandate me to inject something into my body to keep my job in NY state last year, I would have chosen my body over my career... C'est la vie.
