Anyone ever gotten a "foreign object" in their eggs?

This sounds like some nitwit that's knows nothing about the reproductive system compared to the digestive system once it enters the body. Your egg was just fine. The buyer probably is ready to sue McDonald's for "spilling hot coffee in her lap". Really far out to try to believe such a story.

Okay I know I am REALLY late on this thread.....but I have been researching everywhere trying to find out what the heck I found in the egg I cracked open this morning....it kinda freaked me out.

What the heck is THAT???

UPDATE: I cut it open and found semi-dried yolk. The outside was like the coating on an m&m. I am thinking perhaps an egg inside an egg.

Yes the other day (03 2013) I was cracking a egg and attached to the white part of the egg was a small ball of what I don't know it was brown in color and was hard I am 62 years old and have never seen anything but egg in the egg no pun intended

One of my chickens lays large white eggs. Twice in the egg white I've found a small (1/4 inch) pink fleshy kidney-shaped object. What is this? Is the chicken diseased? Can it be harmful to us?

Thank you,
Valerie

I remember having read that at times small foreign objects on the ground can be picked up by the mucous membranes at end of a chicken's cloaca when an egg is layed, and that such objects may be transported upwards in the vagina/oviduct to above where the eggshell is formed. I read this in a comparative anatomy textbook during my biology studies, and the book listed several small objects that had reportedly been found inside eggs.

Hi, I've been searching all over for something like this as many years ago I DID find a foreign object in an egg and it's been bugging me ever since. No one is going to believe this BUT....

The object was a halfpenny piece, I absolutely kid you not.  I broke the raw egg into the bowl, the yolk and white were both perfect.  It was only when I looked at the shell that I noticed the halfpenny lodged in the end with the air sac (it didn't fall into the bowl with the rest of the egg).  I am 100% sure I wasn't imagining it, neither was the coin in the bowl beforehand as it was stuck in one end of the shell.  There must be a way this is possible, I don't know how, but this is proof enough for me!

Maybe some kind of deformity within the internal organs?  It is possible as I saw it with my own eyes!!

Wow that's crazy! I don't know how big a halfpenny is but I hope it didn't hurt her. Must be some internal issue...

Omg this just happened to me and it looked exactly like that! I didn't dissect it but I'm gonna assume that's what it was.

I work for a newspaper and I got a call from a lady this morning who said she found a battery in her boiled egg. The thin flat kind.
I'd like to do a story on it, but I don't have any hard sources for this. Anybody know a doctor or biology professor or agricultural agent who could lend this some credibility?

Not likely...but not totally impossible.
First thing I'd ask for is a photo.
