Anyone ever had a rooster that does the squat and shake?

They were 4 hatched togther, this one is the only one that already has a red-ish comb while the other 3 still have yellow combs, is that not an indicator that it is a rooster?

If it turns out to be a pullet then this is the second rooster I've been given in a month that turns out to be a pullet. *sigh* And I still don't have a rooster

You're one of the few people who wants roosters!

I'm sure you can find one nearby by looking at the BYC Buy, Sell, Trade Section :

I had the opposite happen! I actually paid for two hens, that turned out to be roos! I resold one and an older too i had,and kept the one that was more interested in the ladies. I feel your frustration though,at least roosters are easy to find! I would try finding one that already crows so you know for sure! Lol

At 16 weeks it isn't unusual for some pullets to have some coloring of the comb while others have none. Typically a cockerel's comb will turn red before 12 weeks. At 16 weeks they will have obvious saddle feathers and may have begun crowing.

Maybe you should play the lottery. To have not just one cockerel, but 2, turn out to be pullets!
