I got 5 from Meyers exactly a week ago, they are doing great so far and we are first time chicken keepers...I was thinking about making a thread with some pics and to share our brooder set up

I already have one. She's a great girl. I named her Olivia when she was about 3 weeks old and she was the first to lay and they were olive green eggs. She becomes an official hen Monday.Yay! I'm glad to have shipping buddies! What great varieties. DobieLover you will have to share how you like your lakeshore eggers because they sound so intriguing to me. I almost had one of those instead of my dominique. btoutcheque I'm a little envious of your easter eggers. Please post pictures when they come!
Danceswithronin I ordered from Meyer because of their low chick minimum and they had great breeds available even though I didn't order way in advance.
They always send packages to a central distribution center. It just adds just anxiety to the waiting process. My chicks left spokane this morning just before 8 and my post office said they probably won't be here until tomorrow morning. It's a little over 2 hours from spokane to here, so where are they spending 24 hours?? Even though I wasn't expecting them until tomorrow it's hard knowing they came so close and I have to wait another day. My brooder is all ready for them when they arrive!
Concrete_boots I would love to see your chicks and how you have them set up!
Everyone else waiting for chicks, I'm excited with you.
