I have a couple suet feeders that the woodpeckers ignore and several cakes with seed mixed in. I don't see why they wouldn't eat it but has anyone else gave them to their chickens? I figure with the colder weather the fat would help them calorie wise and staying warmer at night. Thanks!

I wouldn't feed bacon grease because of the salt, but small amounts of suet with seeds should be okay as a treat. Mary
