Just out of curiosity, I know that when I take my speaker out to work on the coops, I get a reaction from our Turks ( they like folk music, freak out on rock and grunge, and go nuts over Hugo Montenegro orchestra).

The Ladies don’t seem to care one way or the other.

I don’t play music for them but my husband listens to a lot of music in their vicinity. I’ll have to ask him what they prefer

Try the The funky chicken?

I honestly have never really tested this. I think it would be fun to see if my birds have a preference or not.
Our Turks can get really worked up, to the point of circling us while certain songs are on and being visually agitated. On orchestra music they will stand and dance all puffed up and wing tips dragging the dirt. Music shuts off when I try to video it, but will try to get my wife to record it next time.
She says the hens like oldies/ Folk like Gordon Lightfoot and older country like Allison Kraus and some old timey like Quicksilver.
I’ve never seen a reaction from them like the Tom’s have.

My hens have music on often (daily for hours) because we have speakers in the backyard. They could not care less, but do notice when the music goes on. They tend to not make noise for the time the music is on unless it is an urgent call. I've never seen them peck another chicken while the music is on, which is unlike my chickens. We've played a large range of rave to classical, and they don't seem to have a preference, but songs without many dynamics will be the ones they'll pancake on the ground to. Any exercise or louder music they'll exclusively be grazing to.

Also, there was a study stating chickens seemed to like classical the most, but I haven't read it myself.
